A resident of Juhu for the last 40 years, my tryst with public service began, post the 26July, 2005 floods. It was on this day that I decided to become a part of the solution instead of merely adding to the problem.

In my experience, the approach to good governance remains very organic and begins from the neighborhood level. 


For me, Social Responsibility is synonymous with holistic progress and prosperity. With that in mind I have been at the forefront of organizing and executing the following initiatives:

Year - 2006



JSRA was formed with the prime object of CLEAN, GREEN and SECURE Juhu. With an objective of tackling local bmc level  issues  like garbage management, sanitation, eco-friendly initiatives,  protecting our gardens / open spaces and a strong civic infrastructure

A Non-profit organization the Raichel Joseph Foundation was founded with the vision of bringing about a paradigm shift in the mindset of India’s less-privileged youth. The RJF program aids them with recognizing ability and responsibility hoping to create an aware and accountable society

Nagriksatta Ward 63 Association (NS) is an NGO registered with the Charity Commissioner, established by the Citizen’s Movement of Juhu.

Founded with the intent of taking forward the objectives of local, decentralized Governance in Juhu Municipal Ward 63.

This follows a successful campaign by Local Citizen’s Groups of this area to implement the 73rd and 74th amendment of the Indian Constitution in its true spirit by taking the first step at electing a citizen’s Corporator Mr. Adolf D’Souza during the 2007 municipal elections.

Rastaa Chaap
Year -2015
Rastaa Chaap is an initiative of likeminded friends to save the lungs of our maximum city. We - Plant, Preserve & Paint trees.
Our 3P axiom Paints for awareness and generating community support preserves the flora and fauna by administering pro-biotic nutrients and Plants trees in an effort to increase green cover. We endeavor to partner with local Juhu resident, students to launch massive Plantation and awareness drives in Juhu.

Udaan Ghar

Udaan Ghar is a Robin Raina foundation and project crayons joint venture. Udaan Ghar forms a shelter home for girls with nowhere to go but the streets and can accommodate around 60 girls at a time. While providing them a roof over their head, Udaan Ghar also encourages formal education and has over 70% of the girls enrolled.
